City Tours for Refugees
With our Creative Sustainability Tours: Refugees Welcome! we visit inclusive and participatory Do-It-Yourself and Do-It-Together projects in Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Our aim is to help refugees in Kreuzberg get to know their neighborhood, become active users of the cultural spaces or even get actively involved in the local initiatives.
The Kreuzberg District is known for its long history of alternative ways of living, self-organised initiatives and urban experiments. Here you will find a variety of projects related to urban development, community living and working as well as local initiatives, urban gardening projects and cultural spaces. We will be exploring this fascinating urban landscape and learning about projects that are contributing to quality of life in our city.
One tour takes about three hours. The tours are specially customized for different groups and are interesting not only for adults, but also for families, children or teenagers.
English. German, Russian; Arabic or French by request.
maximum 15 people
The tours are free of charge. Please contact us via email or phone and let us know how many people of what age (approximately) are going to participate in the tour, in what language the tour should be and what dates would be possible for you.
*During the tours we are going to take photos for our documentation and online media. If anyone does not want to be recognised in the photos, please inform us.
