id22: Institute for Creative Sustainability
is a non-profit, civil society-based organisation supporting cultures of sustainable urban development and innovative housing.
id22 assists and publicises self-organized housing projects, organises networking events, produces publications, operates internet portals and works with media partners to qualitatively improve the urban living environment.
id22 has been working for many years with Berlin, as well as networks and civil society foundations from the local to the international levels. Among the initiatives organised by id22 is experimentcity, with the associated annual EXPERIMENTDAYS collaborative housing event, exhibitions, excursions and workshops, as well as the maintenance of its participative internet platform, WOHNPORTAL Berlin.

The institute is an interdisciplinary institution,
which creates practial examples of sustainability within a scientific-theoretic background;
which researches, demonstrates, reports and publices the synergies between culture, ecology, economy and civil participation throughout different educational events, networks and exchanges of experiencies by means of good examples.
